other southern cities in the USA. The people
there enjoy this celebration by going to parades
where they catch "beads, doubloons, cups,
and trinkets" that are all thrown from

is the focal point of the Passover celebration.

Commandments to Moses and the Israelites at Mount

night of the Jewish month of Elul. Yom Kippur on
the 9th night of Tishrei. Usually in September or

With the final
blowing of the Shofar, The Jewish High Holy Days
draw to a close and the focus of the Jewish
community shifts from the solemnness of Yom
Kippur to the jubilant celebration of the
festival of Sukkot. Sukkoth
begins on the 15th day of the Hebrew month of
Tishri, which is 5 days after Yom Kippur. Sukkot
is celebrated in September or October.
